Description
Boredom has traditionally been associated with a range of negative emotions. However, it has been suggested that boredom can have positive outcomes. Because there are studies proving that boredom might be increasing creativity. This paper is about the relationship between boredom and creativity, about the importance of creativity, how boring tasks can make us to have great performance assessing four dimensions of creativity: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. To achieve this, we will exemplify one study which involve participants doing boring assignments followed by creative tasks, and concluding the research with writers and artist
s own perspective on boredom and creativity.
