Description

The implementation of the Six Sigma methodology has proven essential for enhancing performance and minimizing waste in the manufacturing industry, providing a rigorous framework for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. In the case study conducted at the Eaton Bușag factory, applying the DMAIC sequence enabled the identification and optimization of low-efficiency schedules on the stamping lines. The degree of metal sheet utilization increased from 80.81% to 83.32%, and the control limits narrowed, indicating that the process became more stable. These results confirm the role of Six Sigma as a practical tool for reducing losses, lowering costs, and supporting the company’s sustainability objectives.
